Vault – Hide Photos & Files
Privacy policy & support · Last updated October 6, 2026
The short version
Vault does not collect, store or send any of your data. Everything you put in Vault stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your device
The photos, videos and files you add, your album names and your passcode are stored only inside the app on your iPhone. Your passcode is kept in the iPhone's secure Keychain. Vault has no servers and no accounts, and it makes no network requests of its own.
Permissions
- Photos — to import the photos and videos you pick and, only if you choose, delete the originals from your library.
- Face ID — to unlock the app. Face data never leaves the iPhone's secure hardware and is never seen by Vault.
Sharing
Items leave Vault only when you share them yourself through the iPhone share sheet. What happens next is governed by the app you share to.
Analytics, ads and tracking
None. Vault contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Deleting your data
Delete items or albums inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything. There is no copy anywhere else, so a forgotten passcode cannot be recovered.
Children
Vault collects no data from anyone, including children.
